Q:  Where will the Abila MIP Fund Accounting Training be held?

A:  Computer Classrooms In Seattle, 10604 NE 38th Place, Suite 118, Kirkland, WA 98033

Q:  How much are the classes?

A:  Registration fees vary.  Click on the registration links and you will see the pricing.  There is a discount for Welter clients who are on our Welter User Support Plan.

Q: How long are the training sessions?

A: Classes are held from 9:00 – 4:00 daily.

Other classroom training information:

  • Free parking
  • Breakfast, lunch. snacks & beverages are included in registration fee
  • Individual workstation and class materials are provided for each student.
  • Access to complimentary WiFi
  • 6 hours of CPE/day & certificate given to each attendee
  • Minimum of 4 attendees to hold each class. As soon as the minimum attendance is met, you will receive confirmation by email and will be invoiced at that time.
  • Out of town guests should wait to book travel until class is confirmed. Contact us for a list of nearby hotels/restaurants.

Welter Consulting and RBP Methods are teaming up to offer MIP Fund Accounting classroom training for the first time!

There will be four days of training (all classes eligible for CPE credit):

Instructor: Vicki Welter, CPA

abila certified trainer RGBThe training is open to all MIP Fund Accounting users who would like to brush up their skills on General Ledger and Report Writing. Each day of class is eligible for 6 CPE credits and will be taught by Vicki Welter, CPA.

The classes will be held at the Oregon Society of CPAs offices in Beaverton, Oregon. There is free parking at the facility. We will have breakfast, as well as snacks and beverages served all day. Lunch is on your own.

There will be individual workstations for attendees and we provide class material for each student. We encourage you to bring examples of reports or specific issues.

Abila MIP Advanced Report Writing classroom training attendees will gain an understanding of:
• Report groups and their use in reporting
• Financial statement formats, including how to set-up the various statement types and use in F/S
• Best practices surrounding the presentation of financial statements, which will consider the users/stakeholders of the information in order to customize presentation
• Reporting on multiple periods, across multiple fiscal years, grant/contract periods or calendar years
• Common areas to troubleshoot to ensure accuracy
• Custom column creation for both date override and formula type columns within certain reports
• Segment substitution and its powerful effect on reporting and presentation
• Scheduler module, Executive View licenses in conjunction with advanced security and data mining opportunities to report on data in MIP
• Various ways to collect and report on data to our grantors by utilizing the system’s advanced reporting capabilities like a table-driven chart of accounts, report groupings and financial statements
• Top 10 reports in the system and how to set-up and use these reports.
